Cupping shingles at the edge of the roof. Also, the starter is not lapped properly, with a 6-inch overlap. Cupping is a problem because it can cause leaks. The starter is a mixed install but not difficult to repair.
Image number 1 shows the shingle stagger appears to be correct, or close enough at least. There is an exposed nail where the circle is.
Image number 2 is very strange, not sure what this piece of shingle is doing nailed like this.
These 2 images are in the same area of the roof.
No ridge vent installed on this job. GAF cobra vent would have been the proper material to use. Instead, the crew maintained old power vents. These certainly wouldn't ventilate the entire home.

Some valley nails are inside of 6 inches, this appears to be a leak potential.

Shingle nail patterns are bad. They are too close to the union.
This is a major problem and will cause leaks in the roof. The nail pattern is not properly spaced over the entire roof.

The left side of the chimney is not step flashed at all.
Notice on the right side of the chimney does have step flashing, but the metal appears old, and step flashing looks to be nailed wrong.
